Our little baby boy is now 11 months old (as of June 17). He suddenly seems like a big boy and not the helpless little baby bundle we brought home from the hospital. He is walking everywhere and is always so determined to see how things work or what’s behind a door that’s shut.
He’s a very independent little boy. When he was first learning to walk, he never wanted to hold our hands and take steps. He wanted to do it on his own. He would walk toward us, but he was never a fan of the hand-holding technique.
He is also babbling constantly. He says Mama and Dadda all the time, but he’s also said what sounds like Grandma and Grandpa and bye.
He’s so silly, especially near nap time or bed time. He has truly bonded with our pup, Lily, and gives her hugs all the time.
He weighs about 22lbs, and his favorite foods are bananas and applesauce.
Brayden loves water! If he’s fussy and doesn’t want to sit in his high chair, all we have to do is give him a little cup of water to play with and he is as happy as can be. Since he’s such a fan of water, we figured he would absolutely love a water table. We got him one, but surprisingly, he wasn’t as taken with it as we expected. He played with it for a few minutes and then got distracted and wanted to check out something else. Hopefully it will grow on him!
Brayden loves playing with water or swimming in it, so we take him to the pool as often as we can.
We signed Brayden up for swimming lessons and even though he’s the youngest in his class by almost a year, he loves every minute of it…and so do we!
On the 4th of July, we went to see our local parade. Brayden was captivated by all the people and sounds.
He just gets cuter, sweeter and sillier every day!
